It’s about time for those fall cleanouts with the season approaching and those leaves swooping down into your beautiful water features. No need to worry, Triangle Pond Management has all the tools and knowledge to keep your water garden looking pristine.

During this time of the year preventive maintenance is the best maintenance, such as adding a net before leaves or branches take over the pond. With the lower temperatures, fall becomes a safer environment to remove fish and reintroduce them to the pond once the cleanout is completed.

A full cleanout normally consists of:

• Removal of Leaf Debris
• Power Washing Rocks
• Thinning and Re-potting of Plants
• Cleaning of Filters
• Netting and PVC Dome Installations (which will last for many years to come)

It’s the time of year right now to get your crops in if you haven’t already. Soon the hunters and wildlife enthusiasts will be taking to the woods. Dove season will be on us soon, and right after that, early bow season will start for the white-tailed deer. We are currently offering a few specials to help kick off hunting season.

Recently we had the pleasure of building a water garden in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This was the first water garden build for three of our employees: office manager Joshua Roark, repairs crew field supervisor Logan Green, and our new water garden technician Colby Pittman. Our water garden manager, Andrew Murphy, led the team.

This project provided an exceptional cross-training opportunity and the customer could not have been happier with the finished product. Andrew’s leadership and veteran knowledge helped immensely with the rookie crew. Logan’s exceptional work with the mini excavator made the digging process and boulder-moving a breeze. For Josh, this was an excellent opportunity to see what goes on in the field and learn the tools of the trade to better assist both current and future customers with their aquatic needs.

The water garden build was not without its work-arounds. Early into the dig process we had to move current irrigation lines or they would have been in the middle of the water feature. We used this minor setback to our advantage by trenching and setting both the irrigation line and the hose for the water feature in the same process. The customer could not have been happier with her beautiful new water garden and the outstanding service she received.

My name is Joshua Roark, I am the new office manager with Triangle Pond Management. I am currently an undergrad student at NC Wesleyan, in their adult studies program, double majoring in business administration and accounting. On July 17, 2015, I had the pleasure of marrying the love of my life Katherine Roark, we currently do not have any children, but we do have two pets a cat named Milly and a dog named Lexi. For the past six and a half years I have been in the distribution industry and prior to that I was a retail store manager with other various sales positions. I am excited to become a part of the Triangle Pond team and I look forward to the road ahead.

My name is Ezel Rodgers, I am one of the newest members of the Triangle Pond Management team. I am overly enthused at the opportunity to work for an outstanding company with tons of great employees. The past four and a half years of my life was spent at East Carolina University where I studied Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting. I am currently a single father to two lovely pet gold fish, Zek and Nemo. In my free time, I enjoy working out and going to the beach as much as possible. In the past, I have had extensive experience in landscaping and retail sales. I look forward to assisting the customers of Triangle Pond and getting to know them on a personal level.

Recently, the City of Raleigh asked us to do aeration for Lake Benson. We were able to provide efficient aeration for the 8.5 acre portion of the lake surrounding the water treatment plant with 16 diffusers and a custom stainless steel manifold unlike any other system installed in NC.

Aeration is important for your lake or pond because it:

• increases the dissolved oxygen content of the water throughout the pond / lake
• reduces algae and saves money by reducing treatments
• enhances water quality by stabilizing pH, reducing alkalinity, and removing carbon dioxide
• reduces Phosphorus (P) concentrations in ponds
• is aesthetically pleasing
• increases aquatic habitat such as beneficial plants and fish

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another segment of Triangle Pond Management’s news feed. For those of you who read my previous entry, I know what you’re probably thinking. “Didn’t you say that you would be updating this page on a monthly basis? So much for fulfilling that promise, Andrew!” And that would be a valid criticism. Hopefully I can manage to post more often than semi-annually at the very least from this point forward. So, without further ado, let’s discuss some of the changes that you might have missed out on during my six-month hiatus from writing.

Hello there, ladies and gentlemen. I would like to take a moment to welcome you to Triangle Pond Management’s official newsletter page. I’m happy to inform you that this page will now be updated at least once a month from here on out and will feature posts that include FAQs, step-by-step guides for DIY projects, the latest and most intriguing news regarding the pond industry, an overview of our business and employees, and much more. Before we go any further, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Andrew; I’m currently an employee at Triangle Pond Management that is responsible for retail, customer support, and digital marketing. I was hired on approximately six months ago after Sam and Andrea, the owners of the business, made a decisive effort to improve the functionality of our retail store and establish a clear line of communication between our customers and our associates. Although the duration I’ve spent working here is minuscule compared to some of my colleagues, I feel as if I’ve been able to improve upon various aspects of this business so it can operate in a more cohesive manner. Simultaneously, this occupation has supplied me with numerous assets from knowledge of aquatic structures to what makes a good business model.

Ultimately, it is my goal to bridge the gap between you and our business by conveying what distinguishes us from other pond care providers and give you the resources you need to keep your pond in excellent condition for years to come. I look forward to utilizing this webpage as a means of continuing to educate you as well as myself through the vast amount of knowledge Triangle Pond Management has to offer. The reputation of our company is a superlative commodity to us. With that said, we hope to improve upon the business relationships that we’ve established with our customers so they can feel even more satisfied with the results of our labor. Our website is completely updated, and thus is now accessible on mobile devices. Some of the new additions to the website were made in order to facilitate communication with our customers. One of these additions is the news page, which will be used to keep you informed about our business. We’ll also keep you up to date with sales, clearance events, seasonal changes made to our store/office hours, and much more!

We also plan to use the news page to feature each of our staff members, highlighting their education and experience. Our team members are our most important assets and customers can truly benefit from their knowledge base.
